Ryker is a 1998 Quarter Horse whose gentle nature and soulful presence have made him a cornerstone of our farm community. Once a therapy companion at a nonprofit serving adults with special needs, he has spent much of his life surrounded by people with diverse abilities–those who use wheelchairs, experience emotional outbursts, or communicate in unique ways. Through it all, Ryker remains calm, patient, and endlessly kind, meeting every person with curiosity and understanding.

Before joining our farm, Ryker endured a traumatic attack at another facility when several mares broke through a gate and injured him severely. When he arrived, his body was covered in wounds, but his spirit remained unbroken. With time, care, and love, he healed–both physically and emotionally–and formed an extraordinary bond with his caregivers.

Today, Ryker is a symbol of resilience and compassion. His steady presence brings peace to those around him, and his story reminds everyone that healing is possible through love, trust, and gentle connection. Whether he’s quietly standing beside someone in need or grazing peacefully in the pasture, Ryker embodies the heart and soul of our farm.
