1. Acknowledgment of Risk

I understand that visiting and participating in activities at a working farm and animal sanctuary involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Contact with animals that may bite, kick, or behave unpredictably

• Uneven ground, mud, or other natural hazards

• Exposure to allergens, insects, and weather conditions

• Use of farm tools, machinery, or equipment

I acknowledge that these risks could result in injury, illness, property damage, or death, and I voluntarily assume all such risks.

2. Release and Waiver of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to enter and participate in any activity at Indian Paintbrush Farm Sanctuary, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Sanctuary, its owners, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, successors, and assigns from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury that may occur while on the premises, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

3. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Sanctuary and its representatives from any loss, liability, damage, or costs they may incur due to my presence or participation, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

4. Medical Treatment Authorization

In the event of an emergency, I authorize the Sanctuary to obtain medical treatment for me (or my minor child, if applicable) and agree to be fully responsible for any resulting medical expenses.

5. Photographic Release

I grant permission for the Sanctuary to use photographs, video, or other media of me and/or my dependents taken during activities for promotional, educational, or fundraising purposes without compensation.

6. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, and any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that state and county where the Sanctuary is located.

7. Severability

If any portion of this Agreement is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
