When Hazel first came to Indian Paintbrush Farm Sanctuary, she carried with her a quiet grace and a story that touched our hearts. Once destined for a life of meat production, her future changed the moment she met us–and the moment we met her, we knew she was meant to be part of our family.

Hazel is a four-year-old lamb with the kindest eyes and a spirit that shines with warmth. She adores soft pets, the sound of her name, and the company of her new best friend, Prince Alibaba. Together, they’ve found healing, companionship, and the joy of simply being loved.

Every day, Hazel reminds us why we do what we do–to give animals like her the chance to live freely, safely, and surrounded by compassion. Her story is one of hope, connection, and the beautiful bond that grows when hearts open to one another.
